JVC GR-DVL120U Digital Camcorder E04 Error Code

have new gr-dvl-120u...right out of the box started getting E04 error
code... jvc customer service has been no help...purchased new Sept 28,
2002 so now its to late to return...has anyone had or have this
problem and know how to fix? maybe its the miniDV Casette, haven't
tried a new yet. thanks robert
